Victor Orestes is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Wharton. His research explores the corporate effects of monetary policy, the macro-financial links between tariffs, exchange rates, and trade, carbon credit markets, and more. He earned his PhD in Economics and Statistics from MIT. Victor has served as a consultant to the Central Bank of Brazil on digital currency projects and was awarded the Boston Fed Dissertation Fellowship in 2023.

Parinitha (Pari) Sastry is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Wharton. She was previously an Assistant Professor of Finance at Columbia Business School, and received her PhD in finance from MIT. Parinitha studies climate finance and housing markets, and is interested in understanding how the incentives of financial intermediaries, such as lenders and insurers, influence climate adaptation, investment in mitigation, and household location choice.

Courtney Wiegand is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Wharton. Her research primarily examines asset pricing, macro-finance, fiscal policy, and monetary policy. She earned her PhD in Finance from NYU Stern and has held research roles at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors and the U.S. Treasury. Courtney’s current work explores how fiscal policy shocks move asset prices and influence investor expectations.
